For the best results, we recommend printing these images. If viewing on a computer screen, minimising glare and external light sources will improve your phone’s ability to find a galaxy. Individual QR codes are available for each galaxy.

4. Begin the hunt!

Open the app on your mobile device, and hold it over the image of the universe -- be patient, it's a big universe! After a few seconds, you should see the image of the printed image or image on your computer screen appear on the phone screen. Move the phone over the image until the camera focuses on a QR code. You should see an augmented reality view of a galaxy appear on your screen.

5. Interact with your galaxy

Move the bar at the bottom to zoom in or out of the image. Rotate the galaxy with your finger. Switch between different views of the universe -- gas, stars and dark matter -- using the menu in the top-left corner of your mobile device. Here, you can also see some information about your galaxy. When you're done, move onto the next QR code in the image.

6. Find them all!

There are several galaxies for you to find, keep track of them by viewing your "Found Galaxies" guidebook in the bottom right of your application.
